Dunbar Primary School has had a school Travel Plan since 2005 and has seen very impressive increases in the numbers of children walking, cycling and scootering to school over that time. The janitor, Mr Roberston, has received national recognition for his innovative solution to scooter parking.
Now over 40% of pupils regularly cycle to school and a similar number walk. Dunbar Primary School received the Cycle Friendly School Award in 2010.
